I thought this article from Forbes on how businesses are creating mobile-friendly workplaces was extremely interesting, and wanted to share it with all of you who read our blog. It details how businesses are integrating mobile devices, such as tablets, into the common workplace culture. For instance, many businesses are updating their wireless printing to allow employees to print from their mobile-devices. Likewise, many companies are getting adapters for their projectors to allow people to plug in their mobile devices for a presentation.
The article states that by 2016, more tablets will be bought than notebook computers. So, the question is, how is your business using mobile devices? What daily activities do you use them for? What large-event activities (such as conferences, etc.) do you use them for? And, I think most important, how can these devices move from being cool gadgets to being important components of workplace productivity?
