Morning News Update – April 27, 2012

news you can use

Here’s the news that is of interest to us on this Friday Morning…

AT&T and Verizon are apparently leading the way in sales in the wireless industry, with MetroPCS faring poorly.

Southwest Airlines is considering moving into the arena of international flights, with its flight attendants scheduled to vote on a proposal. This is great news for North Texas, as Southwest is one of the best-run airlines around and will undoubtedly provide good competition in the international market.

Here’s an article this morning that I found interesting about the richest and poorest presidents. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison were all near the top, but there are some other surprising names at the top–LBJ and Andrew Jackson, for starters. Likewise, many people would not realize that probably our most famous President other than George Washington, none other than Abraham Lincoln, is listed as being one of our poorest Presidents.

And finally, here’s an article from Constant Contact about making sure your marketing and/or event forms are mobile friendly, and how not having mobile-friendly form or event registration sites can negitavely affect your marketing.

Here a Quote of the Day:

When everything seems to be goingagainst you, remember that the airplanetakes off against the wind, not with it. – Henry Ford
